Am I too cynical thinking that free offers from the "Happiness Bus" might have a catch?

We passed a tour bus labeled "Delivering Happiness" and was asked "Would you like a free book?". My mind went right to the Airplane Krishna guys. Turned out to be a free book about Zappos.
